One of the early surprises for me this new year is nagsara na yung Jollibee sa Glorietta! It's been in the same spot since I first visited Glorietta as a child in the 90s. I'm sure they didn't close due to low sales because palaging puno yun. Today, I saw a sign they are opening a new store at the One Ayala MRT station side. I guess it makes sense to move there because of the foot traffic but still, it's strange not to see Jollibee in Glorietta anymore. I felt the same way when the Mercury Drug and Wendy's Glorietta branches closed down after decades of being in the same spot. It's not a big deal I know but it's just a strange feeling to witness so many changes in a place you've known for so long.
