I usually don't like standing in lines but tinatyaga ko talaga kapag elections. I mean, even nung nag register ako to vote 20 years ago ganun din ang dusa sa pila back then. There were times I asked myself if it was worth it because politics was just so frustrating, but then again, this is my right, my privilege, and I will exercise it. Earlier this morning, I helped Nanay prepare to go to the precinct at 5AM because senior citizens can vote that early, she's always very excited to vote and will always remind us to vote no matter what. Hopefully, I could have that kind of enthusiasm in the future because it is definitely hard not to be jaded these days.
