Next week though Rihanna poses a threat as "S&M" released a remix version this week featuring Britney Spears which is currently atop the US iTunes, if it manages to bag the top slot next week, it will be Rihanna's 10th #1 and Britney's 5th.
Speaking of Spears, her second single "Til The World Ends" returns in the top 10 with a new peak at #8 in the wake of the release of the music video meanwhile her first single "Hold It Against Me" climbs #75-#59, the firs time this song climb on the chart after several weeks of tumbling down the chart since its #1 debut 3 months ago.
The under the radar hit "Down on Me" by Jeremih feat 50 Cent continues its slow but steady climb atop the chart rising #7-#6 for a new peak on its 22nd week on the chart, it will break inside the top 5 with strong sales and airplay its receiving now.
Bruno Mars' "The Lazy Song" climbs to #20 this week making it Mars' 5th straight Top 20 hit and 3rd on his own. This song is still climbing on both sales and airplay so a top 10 peak is not out of the question.
Jessie J's UK smash hit "Price Tag" is finally penetrating the US chart as the song climbs #49-#40 this week. One notch above "Price Tag" is The Script's "For The First Time" up #42-#39 on its 15th week on the chart. This is the second from the Irish band to enter the Top 40 after their "Breakeven" which peaked at #12
