Bruno Mars scored his 4th #1 hit as Locked Out Of Heaven ascends #2 -#1 this week on the Billboard Hot 100. Mars scored his first #1 with his featured performance in B.o.B's Nothin' on You in 2010. He then followed it up with two solo #1 hits Just the Way You Are and Grenade. Locked Out From Heaven is the first single of his sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox. Meanwhile, Rihanna's three-week ruler Diamonds drops to #2 while Ke$ha's Die Young is static at #3 with The Lumineers' Ho Hey and Maroon Five's One More Night exchanging places at #4 and #5 respectively. Entering the top and ending the month-long streak of collaboration-free Top 10 is Justin Bieber's Beauty and a Beat which features Nicki Minaj. The song climbs #14-#9 this week bumping of PSY's Gangnam Style to #11 from #10 last week.
Taylor Swift's latest single I Knew You Were Trouble zooms #32-#15 this week. It already peaked at #3 when it debuted on the chart thanks to strong initial digital sales but now that the song is now an official single, can it beat its peak? Let's wait and see.
Surprise Grammy Song of the Year nominee The A Team by Ed Sheeran enters the top 20 climbing #23-18 this week on its 22nd week of the chart. The other surprise Song of the Year nominee Adorn by Miguel drops #19-#23 on its 19th week on the chart. It peaked at #17 on the chart.
Thanks to the new rule of Billboard of allowing older songs and recurrents to re-enter the chart as long as it has enough points to enter the top 10 is Mariah Carey's Christmas modern classic All I Want For Christmas is You re-enters the chart at #29 thus earning a new peak. The song's original peak is #83.
Longest chart sitter Lights by Ellie Goulding stays put at #38 on its 51st week on the chart.
