Billboard Hot 100 (Issue Date: January 21 2012)

Rihanna takes back the #1 spot from LMFAO as We Found Love dislodges two-week ruler Sexy and I Know It at #1 on this week's Billboard Hot 100. This is the song's 9th week at #1, the first song to rack up the many weeks at #1 since Ke$ha's Tik Tok in January-February 2010. We Found Love could make it to 10 weeks next week but will be facing competition from rising songs (both airplay and sales) Set Fire to the Rain by Adele (#4 this week) and Flo Rida's Good Feeling (#5 this week). Bruno Mars' It Will Rain which holds at #3 this week looks like it will have a hard time topping the chart as while the airplay is good, the sales are already slipping but still never count out that song for a potential #1. But I think it's safe to the say that Katy Perry's The One That Got Away is likely "the #1 that got away" as the song slips to #6 this week and despite a remix out the song is already losing on the sales front and still behind in airplay next to It Will Rain and We Found Love. Perry might not set a record for the most #1 hits from the same album (a record she currently ties with Michael Jackson's Bad with 5 #1s) a #3 peak for a 6th single is still solid.

Opening out strong is Jason Mraz' new song I Won't Give Up which debuts at #8 thanks to a huge opening week sales of 220K+ this week enough to propel the song for a top 10 debut despite low airplay. Believe it or not this only Mraz's 3rd top 40 hit and 2nd top 10 hit ever! His highest peaking song is of course the record breaking I'm Yours which peaked at #6 after spending 76 weeks on the chart, the song with longest chart of all time on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His other top 40 single is his breakout single The Remedy which peaked at #15 in 2o03.

LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem logs its 29th week in the top 10 as the song drops to #9 this week. Santana and Rob Thomas' Smooth (2000) and Lee Ann Rhimes' How Do I Live (1997) are ahead of it for the most weeks in the top 10 record with 30 weeks and 32 weeks, respectively

Three months after debuting at #10, Snoop Dog and Whiz Khalifa's Young, Wild and Free (featuring Bruno Mars) is close to matching its peak as the song climbs #14 to #11 this week. British pop star Jessie J lands her first top 20 hit as Domino climbs #21 to #17. The song sounds like a Katy Perry song so this could probably gave the song the boost especially on radio airplay.

The longest chart sitter Adele's Rolling in the Deep hangs on for yet another week (down #30-#36 this week) on its 53rd week on the chart.
