Billboard Hot 100 (Issue Date: May 14, 2011)

Katy Perry and Kanye West are still Queen and King of the Billboard Hot 100 chart as "E.T" spends its 5th week atop the chart. Adele is closing in the gap though as "Rolling in the Deep" is on a roll as the song climbs the top 10 on the airplay and was just beaten by roughly 500 copies by ET on the sales front. I really hope "Rolling in the Deep" will climb to the top and not suffer the same fate of such songs like "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum and "Apologize" by OneRepublic that was stuck for #2 for several weeks.

On other news, Britney Spears earns her 8th top 5 hit as "Til The World Ends" jumps #11-#3 this week beating its previous peak which was #8. This is the 3rd song from Britney to peak at #3 after "Gimme More" and "Circus". She has 5 #1 songs ("Baby One More Time", "Womanizer", "3", "Hold It Against Me", and the remix of Rihanna's "S&M"). The song got a boost from the remix that featured Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha. This is Nicki Minaj's highest chart position ever despite several chart apperances. Her previous best was with Trey Songz' "Bottoms Up" which peaked at #5 but her highest song of her own was "Moment For Life" peaking at #13 a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Black Eyed Peas is holding up well as "Just Can't Get Enough" hangs on at #4, this is certainly a better performance from their first single "The Time (Dirty Bit)" and as expected Bruno Mars lands his 5th Top 5 hit in a row with "The Lazy Song" climbing #6-#5 this week.

Recent Manila visitor The Script jumps #30-#24 this week with "For The First Time", I hope it could break the top 20. Meanwhile, future Manila visitor Maroon Five enters that Hot 100 this week "Never Gonna Leave This Bed" at #100.

After 47 weeks on the chart, Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" falls of the chart and with that Bruno Mars now has the longest charting song on the chart with "Just The Way You Are" spending its 41st week on the chart and actually climbs #39-#33.
