A New Record Low Again, Bruno Blocks Pink

After a week off when The Decemberists topped the Billboard 200 last week selling over 90 thousand, the historic 2011 sales doldrums is back as a new Soundscan low for a #1 album was set as singer/songwriters Amos Lee's new album "Mission Bell" bowed atop the chart selling 40k, breaking the previous record set two weeks ago by Cake when their album "Showroom of Compassion" debuted atop the chart with sales sum of 44k.

To be fair, this is Amos Lee's best sales performance so far in his career as Yahoo! Chart Watch's Paul Grein notes that until this week Lee's best sales sum in a week was just 16k when his previous album "Last Days at the Lodge" debuted in 2008.

Mumford & Sons "Sigh No More" earns a new peak this week at #6.
