Bruno Mars unseats Katy Perry for Hot 100 #1

Despite dropping on the Billboard's Digital Songs Chart from #1 to #2 this week, "Just The Way You Are" by Bruno Mars still managed to top this week's Billboard Hot 100 as reported by Billboard. Mars' debut single dislodges two-week champ "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry which drops all the way to #4 this week. Rihanna's "Only Girl (In The World)" soared to #3 this week from #75 the previous week as it enters the Hot Digital Songs chart at #1 selling 249,000 copies while her collaboration with Eminem "Love The Way You Lie" remains at #2 this week. Linkin Park's fourth album "A Thousand Suns" debuted at #1 on this week's Billboard 200 Albums Chart selling 241,000 copies this week. Their last album "Minutes to Midnight" sold 623,00 copies in 2007 so the first week sales of "Suns" is somewhat disappointing for Linkin Park although album sales are way down this year compared in 2007 and lead single "The Catalyst" was not a big hit as "Midnight"'s lead single "What I've Done". A close #2 was Trey Songz' fourth album "Passion, Pain and Pleasure" which sold 240,000 copies this week. While Linkin Park saw a steep drop on their first week sales for their new album, Trey Songz experienced the opposite as "Passion, Pain and Pleasure" opening week sales is the biggest of his career his previous album "Ready" sold 131,000 on its first week in September 2009, it was then his biggest sales week. Love him or hate him but 2010 is definitely Justin Bieber's year, his "My World 2.0" album spends its 26th consecutive week inside the top 10 of the Billboard 200. Since it debuted 26 weeks ago, "My World 2.0 has never charted below the top 10 and the last album to do that? Eminem's The Eminem Show in 2002! Last week's #1 Sarah Bareilles' "Kaleidoscope Heart" crashes to #12 this week tying B.o.B's "The Adventures of Bobby Ray" 'record' of the biggest tumble from #1 on the Billboard this year.

Anyway here are the rest of the top 10 for this week's Billboard 200 Albums Chart:
  1. Linkin Park - "A thousand Suns" -- 241K
  2. Trey Songz - "Passion, Pain & Pleasure," -- 240K

  7. "NOW 35" -- 41K
  8. Brandon Flowers - "Flamingo" -- 41K
  9. Katy Perry - "Teenage Dream" -- 40K
